This works. My dad ran to work 6 years running 40 miles to and 40 miles from burning nothing but wood. The truck required gas to start, and when the engine was warmed up, the wood burner would take over. Ill see if I can dig anything up in the picture box to share. |

I need you to take my banner down, I have closed the store for now, I have no time or it lately. Well I got work to do hope all is going well. Yes, gassification. Mostly wood and Coal is used in the process. In this case it has to do with collecting the smoke to extract the unused fuels contained in it to be burned by the tractor.
Ahhh, the good old days when Bearscamp and Gomango were around.... They were always looking at this stuff... |

| On the discovery channel .. they have that show called the colony. They were running a generator from wood gas. It appeared to be honda powered and seemed to run well. |

I think wood burns at approx. 30 percent efficency... there is a lot of byproduct that can be used to increase that percentage of efficency.
I'll have to check out the show, that sounds interesting |

| If you're interested in plans, the federal goverment put together plans to alter an engine to run on wood gas in the event of a fuel shortage. Just do a search for "FEMA Woodgas" and you can access the FEMA plans. Actually pretty interesting. Anter |

| Cool thing about coal is that it can be used in the same process as the wood we are talking about. Coal gassification is becoming a big thing right now.... |

This is what i am thinking. I have the need to pump water to the front of my land to keep a pond i am going to build full.. If i were to build a wood fired steam engine an a second moter that ran on waste gas from burning the wood. Dam that would be cool..
