Its not a matter of moving the tire in or out. If you imagine a straight line running through each tire and, both in perfect alignment with one another, that in theory should allow you perfect tracing. In the real world we all know nothing is perfect. All you need to do is tilt one of the wheels slightly. Observe the band and see which way it goes. You need to be able to tilt the tire in a negative or positive direction to 0 degrees. It takes very little adjustment to change the path of the band. This is probobly clear as mud but i hope it helps. Smile

It really doesnt matter, what your looking for is a point of reference which way the band moves, in regards to the way you tip the tire,,(ever so slightly). If the band started moving in the wrong direction, then tilt the tire the other way. You can spin it by hand to see which way the band wants to move after youve made an adjustment. Once you have it tracing well by hand spinning, then you should be ok to put the power to her. Of course be carefull, the teeth on them bands can chew you up real good!

Just to add to what Bedway has said you want the blade to be level to the bunks. so after you have it tracking properly you may have to adjust both of the the wheels to bring the blade back to level with the length rails as in the tilting forward and back motion of the top and bottom of the wheels.

Take a look at the coplaner information in the links section, it may help clarify it.
